Alisha and Billy were such a treat to work with today. Their sweet wedding in Gin Creek snuck up on me! They are now living in California but they have come home to declare their love in a simple wedding on Saturday. Alisha is just pure sugar- her smile and giggle light up the room, while Billy's quiet mischeviousness keeps those giggles coming from his sweet fiance. I can't wait for Saturday!

From Washington with Love! { Tallahassee Wedding Photographer}

ethAnn and Zach are college best friends turned lovers. Both attended BYU in Utah where their friendship blossomed. Post graduation, they both moved home- BethAnn to Florida and Zach to Washington. It didn't take many phone calls for these two to realize they were never supposed to be apart. So Zach did what any man would do in love- he packed everything he owned into his car and drove across country to steal BethAnn's heart. These two were sealed in the Orlando, Florida temple on Friday and then they celebrated with family and friends at the Goodwood Plantation in Tallahassee. Yours Trulys by Kathryn coordinated the entire day so everything went off without a hitch!
Every detail had a meaningful touch- I was grateful to be a part of all of the happy tears. One of my most favorite parts of the day- was watching all of BethAnn's little sisters just stay in awe of their big sister the princess!

A Perfect Vineyard Affair { Virginia Wedding Photographer}

Last Wednesday, I set sail for their Virginia Vineyard wedding. Everything went smoothly and their ceremony was full of so much joy. Jamie's officiant traveled with her to Africa on a mission trip when she was a girl - and he promised years ago he would always perform her wedding. So he came, with about 100 guests who loved, laughed and enjoyed the beautiful 80 degree weather. Never have I ever been so touched by a wedding. Jamie and Devin are so lucky- they definately have the real thing- true love. When Devin first laid his eyes on her at their first look- tears fell as he beheld his sweetheart. I admit, I couldn't help but share in their joy.

So after a magical session with the Blime's family, I had to take my new engaged couple to the same spot. Lindy is the type of bride that I simply treasure- every thing she does incorporates family, tradition and true love. She planned a "picnic" shoot for her session with the love her of life that had objects that came from the past of her family. Every prop had a special significance, from the glass jars from her Dad's first job to the necklace she wore from her grandma. Each piece has had nostalgia written all over it. Hopefully, these images will do the same for them in the years to come. I love love loved this idea! Infact, I want to do more of it! Until then, look out for their wedding this summer!

We snuck out there to pay homage to the legacy of Travis' family as he begins to start his own new family with Kimberly, his fiance. These two are silly and very much in love. Talk about the circle of life- Keturah and Mike were the subject of one of the first engagement pictures that I ever took! Back when I was even using film. Now they came down to Orlando, so we could capture some images of their love and their son. We had a great time going to little man's favorite location- a train! Hes a lot to keep up with but what wasn't that hard was seeing just how much this family is in love with one another. Their love of life spills into their photographs and I am so glad to have been able to click the shutter.

Last Saturday, I snuck to the family farm of Chris and Cara for their beautiful ceremony. Their entire day was filled with family , tradition and utter sweetness. From their Uncle, the officiant , that married not only the new bride and groom but the groom's parents as well. Their music for the ceremony was played by their famous uncle Marvin Goldstein. Every detail was created by a family member from the home made jam favors, to the cake, the cranes on the tables and customized needle point for the new Mr. and Mrs. Every detail was full of legacy, every moment was full of love. It was a joy to be apart of this new family.

This family is one that I love. Their infectious humor makes it so hard to take pictures because I laugh so much! We spent a blessed hour capturing the love of their family. One part in particular was the special cross of Maria's mother, which was blessed by the Pope himself. What a joy to see it continue on such love with the legacy her mother left behind- a perfect family.

Over the summer, I auctioned off a portrait family to benefit the Habitat for Humanity. The lucky bidders were the Brinkmeyer family. They cashed in their session for an engagement/mini family session. Jamie and Devvyn are two love birds that met in line waiting for a baseball game. As a photographer, I get the joy of being able to see love in various forms. Love from families, love from children and love from budding romances. Last Saturday, I snuck off to FSU campus and Railroad Square, to take pictures of one budding romance that I just wanted to jump for joy with. These two have a classic love story, met as child in a far away city then found each other again while going to college. Logan and Krystina are the type of couple that just bring so much joy to those around them. So much so that you can totally see them in 50 years, still just as bubbly and still in just as much love.

I think I am losing my mind ! With all the busy-ness of the last few weeks, I totally made the edits for their reception but I forgot to post them! Caleb and Rachel's reception was in Dothan, Alabama at the LDS Stake Center. It was an elegant affair with handmade touches! All of the cakes were made by sweet family members . Caleb had 3 grooms cakes all displaying his love of the wildnerness. It was a fun time full of good people!

On Tuesday, Mom , Dad and Gaeb came with me to Railroad Square to take some updated family portraits. Keeping up with this bouncing 3 year old is quite the task. Little Gaeb is one little boy who knows how to enjoy life- he was always running from one place to the next, excited to see what he could do! But somehow, we were able to capture the absolute adoration this family has for one another . What a wonderful family!

On Saturday, I met up with Camden and his parents for a little photosession. We had such a good time letting Camden smile and just enjoy the day at the beautiful park. This fun family hasn't been together in a few years because their son was away on a LDS Mission. Now as one son came home , another is leaving for his mission while the other siblings are off to college. Needless to say, having everyone in one place is rare so we had to get some pictures! I had a blast and am so grateful to be apart of their love.

Before I headed out on one of my trips I went around town with Catherine to take some Senior Photos. Catherine is the coolest girl I know! Shes is active in school with chorus and she is hoping to one day be an astrophysist! Well I don't know if I spelled that right, but all I know is that she wants to go to the moon! Needless to say, this girl is brilliant and beautiful!

So I snuck over to meet new little James to take some new born photos of him since we could stay in doors while it thundered outside. He was born on Sunday to a very good friend of mine. These two love birds are creating a brand new family with precious children and they asked me to somehow capture their new found love into photographs. Since we had to cancel two photoshoots due to afternoon rain, the Jaggars and I got up bright and early to hit up Maclay Gardens for a family portrait session. Dodging lawn mowers, this fun group put on quite a show with bubbles, silly faces and lots of love! We even hoped in the little reflection pool to cool off from the morning heat! What a great family!

Somehow we dodged the rain today and I met up with a delightful family! J.W. is all boy! He showed me how to drive tractors, lay pine straw and feed catfish! Of course he did all this with his two years of age experiences. Needless to say, his parents are as fun as he is! At the end, we got a little crazy and had J.W. do some shots with his hieney showing. Hopefully, when he grows up he won't kill me for putting his cute cheeks on the web, but seriously, could you resist those?
